Simple and easy to use!

There are tons of clients for Twitter out there. But most of them try to implement everything. Showing everyone's timeline, hot linking, spell check (that might be a good one?), fancy graphics... when the majority of users just want to quickly update their status. And that's what Threeter does. The name is a joke about the 1-2-3 process.

  1. Press the hotkey combination.
  2. Enter what you're doing. Or did. Or will do. Or...
  3. Press enter, and voyla! Updated.

Threeter also integrates with the bit.ly service to automatically shorten long URLs when you post them.

And we don't have to say that Threeter is ultra lightweight. It won't harm your system performance and you can leave it running all the time minimzed to the system tray, even on under powered netbooks! And did we also mention it is open source?

What are the system requirements?

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, you're good to go. People using earlier versions of Windows must have the .NET Framework 3.5 installed for Threeter to work. But as this is available through Windows Update, chances are that you won't have to install anything before running Threeter.
